Terms of Service

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, including during identity verification (KYC).

2. The Service

AMEX provides a health-wallet platform for subscribing to health plans, funding a wallet, booking laboratory tests, and viewing results delivered by our diagnostic partners. AMEX is a technology and payments platform; it is not a hospital, and does not itself provide medical diagnosis or treatment.

3. Medical disclaimer

Test results and any insights are provided for information and are not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always seek the advice of a qualified health provider with questions about your health. The Service is not for medical emergencies — in an emergency, contact your local emergency services or nearest hospital immediately.

4. Accounts & verification

You must keep your login credentials secure and are responsible for activity under your account. We may require identity verification (including your NIN) before enabling certain features, and may suspend accounts for suspected fraud or breach of these terms.

5. Wallet, subscriptions & payments

• You can fund your wallet and pay for plans or tests through our payment partners.
• Subscription plans renew each cycle at the stated price until cancelled; you can cancel to stop future renewals.
• Prices are shown in Naira and may change with notice for future cycles.
• Refunds: completed diagnostic services are generally non-refundable once the test is performed. Where a booking is cancelled before fulfilment, applicable amounts are returned to your wallet in line with our refund practice.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service, including by attempting unauthorised access, interfering with its operation, submitting false information, or using it for unlawful purposes.

7. Third-party services

The Service relies on third parties (laboratories, payment processors, communication providers). Their performance is outside our direct control, and their own terms may also apply to you.

8. Intellectual property

The Service, its content and branding are owned by AMEX or its licensors. You may not copy, modify or distribute them without permission.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, AMEX is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability arising from the Service is limited to the amounts you paid to us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify AMEX against claims arising from your misuse of the Service or breach of these terms.

11. Suspension & termination

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms or where required by law; some provisions survive termination (e.g. payment obligations and liability limits).

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of its courts.

13. Changes

We may update these terms; the “last updated” date shows the latest version. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
